OTHER NEWS:

1. Spare a thought for Dave Janmaat and Mick Outhred. They were in the last wave start at Singapore and had to hang around waiting in the heat for hours, then while they were on the run, the heavens opened as a huge storm rolled through.

2. And who was the Team Singapore member who wasn't quick enough on the MRT and almost lost their nose when the doors closed between him (on platform) and others (on train)?

3. Awesome performances in Singapore by Michelle Gailey (1st Overall age group female), Amanda Donohoe (2nd overall age group female) and Craig Garland (4th Overall age group male). Michelle actually started in the second swim wave and swam through the first wave competitors to lead the race from start to finish.

4. We missed Tour de France coverage in Singapore. We could get soccer, golf, F1, soccer, golf, F1 ...... Ahhhh! Go Cadel !

5. Interested in the Lombok Triathlon (toughest in Asia)? Check this link: http://www.lomboktriathlon.com/eflyer/index.html

6. The ABC Darwin Half Marathon is on 27th July 2008. This is a great local event and we encourage everyone to show their support, either as an individual or a team of 2 or 4. The entry form is attached or you can go to the DRW Web site for further information http://www.darwinrunners.com.au/default.asp.

7. Both Courtney Atkinson and Emma Moffatt were in great form in Singapore, a pre Olympic Games hit out for them.

8. I've had some emails saying you are having E News withdrawal, so here 'tis, as is, and a promise that it will be back to usual come Monday. Don't forget to email me any news, give me a heads up if you are racing away or in a related event or to get your for sale or wanted items in by Sunday & Tuesday evenings.

Cheers
