Robyn's E News 16 Feb 2011

Hi All,

It would be an understatement to say we have had a lot of rain ! The velodrome looks like a swimming pool at present. Hope those of you in Darwin have heard the warnings and sorted your cyclone preparations.

Although the temptation for dedicated triathletes will be to get out there and continue training ... please stay indoors (we all know if you miss one session your finely tuned body will turn to mush and you will get flogged at the next race ... right ?) Get reaquainted with your windtrainer instead of risking life and limb in the current conditions.

There are trees down, potholes appearing, lots of flooding and winds up to 100km per hour so just sit it out for a bit. You can always grab a skipping rope if you have to release some pent up energy.

Cyclone Carlos may go to a Cat 2 so make your preparations now.
