That’s half

another cracker jack Dry season weekend, chock full of things to do, places to
see and more importantly – cooler nights.
Speaking of
crackers, as well as the day the Territory goes mad with fireworks, 1st

will shortly be calling for volunteers to fill roster positions. If
members all take a turn at least once a season we can cover our events.

Our annual Presentation Night Dinner takes place at Nightcliff Sports Club on
Saturday 10 August 2013 @ 6.30pm. Tickets are available online here.

call for nominations for Dag of the Year or our Broken Spoke Awards. Know
someone that did something daggy in the past 12 months or had a bingle on their

MEMBER SERVICES DIRECTORY:
1. As
advised last week, our new Member Services Directory page has been
launched on our website.
2.
How many times have you been asked if you know anyone who is an electrician,
where are bike shops located, who babysits, etc etc.
3.
For a small cost, this page will enable members to advertise their services and
will also inform members of services offered by fellow club members. All funds
raised will be used for club projects.
4.
Current 2013/2014 members can sign up online here to advertise until 31 Dec 13.

OTHER NEWS:
1. Congratulations
to former club president Paul Bell and fiancé Helen on the recent announcement
of their engagement.
2.
Congrats to Ali & Stu Fitch who are expecting a visit from the stork in
January.
3.
Monica Stewart recently wrote to DCC regarding conditions at Lake Alex.
As a result, showers have been unblocked and DCC advise that the tidal pump has
been fixed. Way to go Mon.
4.
Many of you will be up an age group from today. Your age is calculated as
at 31 December 2013 & it remains same until 30 June
2014.
5.
Should you participate in an away event, for example those run by WTC Ironman
or IM 70.3 or compete in an ITU event, your age is calculated as at 31 Dec in
the year of competition, so it is possible to race in two different age groups
depending on events you enter. Check individual event details.
6. Why is
it so? Different tri seasons in different hemispheres! USA &
European tri season is middle of the year whereas Australian triathlon races
traditionally take place Oct – March.
